Today we’re introducing Lazizbek, our Full-stack Software Engineer, based in Bukhara, Uzbekistan.

Hey Lazizbek! Could you tell us a little bit about your role at DanAds?

Hey there! I work at DanAds as a full-stack software engineer, responsible for both front-end and back-end development of our apps. Upon joining the team in 2022, I applied my extensive knowledge of PHP and Laravel to construct robust and flexible back-end systems. Our responsibilities encompass the entire process, from creating database schemas to developing the server-side code and APIs utilized by our apps.

On the front end, I employ JavaScript and Vue.js to craft dynamic interfaces that are user-friendly. My role revolves around ensuring our apps deliver the best possible user experience for both publishers handling ad inventory and advertisers planning campaigns. Additionally, I prioritize deploying and containerizing our apps using Docker, accelerating the development process and ensuring seamless application in various settings.

Through my work at DanAds, I can make significant contributions to the ad tech business. I am provided with the opportunity to devise new strategies for publishers to enhance their advertising skills. The job presents new challenges daily, fostering continuous improvement in my skills as a software engineer. I have the flexibility to work from home in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, which is great.

What did you do before you started this position?

I freelanced before joining DanAds as a full-stack software engineer in 2022. Contributing to several projects gave me diverse experience. While freelancing, I faced several hurdles, improved my problem-solving skills, and gained a variety of skills that I currently use at DanAds. Freelance work has shaped my skills and prepared me for full-stack software engineer duties.

The collaboration between Sigma Software and DanAds started at the beginning of 2016 and has grown to a very strong and powerful partnership between the two companies. Sigma Software is recognized among the Top 100 best outsourcing companies according to the yearly rating by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals® (IAOP®).”

Hi Lubbe! What do you do at DanAds?

Hi! I’m the Chief Architect and Head of Operation and Service Assurance Team.

What does your team do?

Our team is responsible for ensuring the company operations related to Infrastructure, Development, Security, and Compliance were running smoothly to provide our customers with the best quality services.

How would you describe the collaboration between Sigma and DanAds?

It’s truly amazing! DanAds and Sigma have been able to build such a strong and impressive relationship, which allowed to create a very talented team that works as a whole to overcome any limits.

How did you first start to work together with DanAds?

In 2016, I met Peo Persson and Istvan Beres in Malmo, where the first time I’ve heard about an idea to build a self-service advertising platform.

I was very inspired by the idea and told myself that it’s gonna be an astonishing journey. Since then, I’ve been working closely with DanAds.

What has happened with the company since you started from your perspective? How would you describe DanAds today?

Well, the company changed significantly and grew. When I just started there were only a few of us, and now it’s more than a hundred people and multiple departments.

Today, the company is strong and mature and has an incredibly talented team.

How do you like working at DanAds and why?

There are quite a lot of aspects which makes it really hard to pick the specific one. But what I can definitely say, because of innovative environment and such committed team and extremely talented people.

What did you do before joining DanAds?

I’ve been working as a Software Engineer for more than 7 years before I joined Sigma Software and then DanAds.

Any favourite features in our Self-Service Platforms?

There are quite a lot of unique and great features on the platforms, from instant video analysis to subscriptions. But, I really like the flexibility of the platform and how easy it can be integrated with the internal customer’s infrastructures.

This creates unlimited possibilities for automation and improvement of business processes for our customers.

How do you spend your time outside of work?

I’m a big fan of active rest, traveling, hiking, sports, can’t sit in one place.

Something not many people know about you?

I have once decided to learn how to dance rock n roll, it sounded like a good idea back then, but… On the first day at dancing school, an instructor told me that on the next day, we are going to perform a flashmob by dancing rock n roll in a public place. During the flashmob, I hadn’t had any idea what to do, so my first debut was as awkward as it can be.

Never told that story to anyone!

Thanks Lubbe! You can read our previous employee profile of Eoin McGregor, our Head of Customer Success, right here.

Meet Fayez Saad from the DanAds Core team https://danads.com/blog/blog-meet-fayez-saad-from-our-core-team/ Thu, 25 Feb 2021 15:13:26 +0000 https://danads.com/?p=3548

In our new people series you get the chance to have a look behind the scenes and meet the people behind the success story of DanAds. We have the best team in the world and we’d really like you to meet them!

This time, let us introduce the one and only Fayez Saad from our DanAds Core team.

Fayez! What do you do at DanAds?

I’m a Project Manager in the Core team.

What does the Core team do?

We are a relatively new team, solely focusing on building what we call our DanAds Core Platform. It’s basically what it sounds like – we’ve taken all the experience we’ve gained from years of building customized Enterprise platforms, and incorporated that into a Core product. Our pumping heart if you will.

Together we are developing a modern, feature rich self-serve platform.  Our goal is to have a highly customizable, super flexible platform where publishers can choose what features fit their business so that we can onboard them accordingly.

Hence, we are continuously adding features, with the goal to cover all the crucial aspects of self-serve ad management for small- to medium-sized advertisers.

How did you find your way to us?

My previous employer in Stockholm was acquired by Nasdaq exchange. I needed a change to my career path to boost my energy.
My goal was to find an employer where I can seek self-development and grow my experience within the business field. DanAds popped up on my LinkedIn and I started reading up self-serve platforms and self-service advertising. I took a shot and applied!!

What has happened with the company since you started from your perspective? How would you describe DanAds today?

Since I joined to be part of DanAds family, we’ve managed to deliver top notch features to our customers, and as we’ve grown I’ve been a part of the journey to scale up all necessary support and developement functions  to meet and fulfill our customer’s expectations.

The most significant event for me personally was joining the Core team from it’s creation. Overall, Danads is a fast-paced employer where you can learn from new challenges.

How do you like working at DanAds and why?

Working with positive colleagues where everyone wouldn’t for a second hesitate to help and assist you when you need a hand. Constructive feedback is part of the DanAds family and something I value in my work.
The excitement of starting new projects and interacting with new clients has fuelled my passion to grow as DanAds grows.

What did you do before joining DanAds?

After graduating from University in Syria, I worked for about a year as a before deciding to move to Sweden.

I used to work at Cinnober Financial Technology as a support manager. My day-to-day job was to support top Stock Exchanges around the globe following our support metrics. That company got aquired, I startedto look around for new challenges and the rest is history.

What’s the main difference working in Sweden vs Syria?

I guess the work culture is the most essential difference I’ve noticed. Due to the war in Syria, business was done locally and there was no international connection. In Sweden, not to mention in DanAds, the ability to work with globally known international customers is a big plus.

Any favorite features in our Self-Service Platforms?

Lately, we added two new features to our Core platform, that are connected with each other.
Customer Groups: With this feature, you as a publisher can segment your advertisers by assigning them to different groups.

Price Management: This feature allows you to set specific prices for different groups of advertisers.
Those are my favorite features so far because as a publisher you can set different prices (higher or lower) for different advertiser groups in one product, without having to set up an unnesserarily complex set of products.

How do you spend your time when you’re not building beautiful products?

One of my favorite hobbies is working out. I consider sport to be a helpful stress relief after a long day at work. I also like to watch football – “BIG MAN UNITED FAN!” while cracking a couple of beers with my friends.

Lately, I also started to play paddle tennis every weekend.

Something not many people know about you?

I JUST got my Swedish citizenship three days ago!
